Many data sources do not fail loudly. They deliver less, change coverage or consume budget without useful results.

Provenance
Every record needs a source, retrieval time and transformation version. Only then can conflicting values be explained and selectively rebuilt.
Coverage over intuition
Expected and present counts are compared per domain. Unknown remains its own state and is not interpreted as zero.
Couple budget and quality
Rate limits, cost and data yield are measured together. A technically successful response with empty content is not an operational success.
