Technical guide
Idempotent EDI flows in steel ERP systems
Steel processes connect commercial documents with material details such as dimensions, grades, batches, coils, weights and partial quantities. That is why integration requires more than field mapping.
Business keys
An external document gets a stable partner, message-type and document key. Repeated delivery updates or confirms the same process instead of creating a duplicate order.
Layered validation
Syntax, partner profile, master data and process state are validated separately. A technical acknowledgement does not automatically mean business acceptance.
Material reality
Units, tolerances, partial quantities, batches and coil allocation must be modeled explicitly. Generic field mapping otherwise hides the deviations that become expensive later.
Failure and recovery
Every message receives correlation, immutable raw storage, a normalized result and a traceable state. Corrections use a new version or a controlled replay, not an ad-hoc database edit.
